With over three decades of experience in crafting natural confections and a passion for cannabis that started in his college days, Josh invented the first Infused Licorice. He was determined to offer something innovative, delicious, and reliably dosed. Co-founder Nathan Wyss played an essential role in realizing this vision, and together they created a unique technological solution for accurate dosage control, making Emerald Sky one of California’s most diversified brands of edibles.

Josh's pioneering work in the confectionery field began much earlier, as he introduced the first chocolate bar to Whole Foods Market in 1991 and created the first made-in-America organic chocolate bars in 1993.
