He has tracked the evolution of drug policy for ABC News, High Times Magazine, Global Ganja Report, Wall Street Journal TV, Cannabis Now, the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Surgeon General's Office, Quantum9, Vice, Ojai Valley News, and Revista Cáñamo. He earned a master's degree in environmental sociology from Humboldt State University and a bachelor's degree in international studies from the City College of New York. He is the founder of Veit Publishing, a publishing venture dedicated to helping independent writers, journalists, and artists produce their work in print and online.
