Huckleberry Hill Farms, a legacy cannabis farm in Southern Humboldt County, reflects decades of tradition, sustainability, and stewardship. Founded by John Casali on the land he’s called home since 1968, the farm honors the Back to the Land Movement and the heirloom cultivars passed down by his mother, Merlene. Despite hardships, including 17 years impacted by the “war on drugs,” John became a pioneer in legal cannabis, with Huckleberry Hill among the first fully permitted farms in Humboldt County. Today, alongside his partner Rose Moberly, John cultivates premium, full-sun craft cannabis while preserving history through advocacy, education, and farm tours. Each strain captures the essence of Southern Humboldt’s natural splendor, offering an authentic connection to the land and its rich legacy.
