A Quickstart Guide For Patients and Caregivers
Since 2011, Sespe Creek has been delivering cannabis to qualified medical patients in Ventura County.
In 2021 through an act known as Ryan’s Law, later expanded by CA SB 302, California paved the way to allow qualified patients the right to access medical cannabis in most healthcare facilities.
We are pleased to partner with local healthcare facilities and facilitate access to this important medicine for those who need it most. We offer flexible and customized options to ensure safe, reliable access to a curated selection of organic cannabis products sourced mainly from small regenerative farms.
All medicine is always lab tested to ensure potency and purity.

What is the MMIC? (Optional)
Do I need one?
This is a state-controlled program run by local county health departments to administer an identification card to qualified medical cannabis patients and their caregivers. Participation in this program is optional.
Depending on monthly usage and financial need, there might be a benefit from obtaining the state-issued MMIC (medical marijuana identification card) which exempts the cardholder from state sales tax (excise and local taxes still apply).
The MMIC requires a doctor’s medical recommendation first in order to apply as well as a nonrefundable application fee (currently $100 or $50 for Medi-Cal applicants). The card must be renewed yearly, requires your photo to be taken, and must be applied for in-person.
