Sespe Creek Coronavirus Policy Update
**Update: We are able to offer low-touch curbside pickup as an immediate precaution to minimize social contact. Please join as a member and place an online order for pickup to take advantage of this service. The debit card reader will still work in the parking lot; for cash purchases, exact change will be appreciated. **
Dear Sespe Creek family,
We understand you may have many concerns and questions regarding the unfolding situation with the novel coronavirus also known as COVID-19. As of March 13, Ventura County health officials declared a local health emergency due to one confirmed and one presumptive case.
Like you, we’re taking this situation very seriously and are closely monitoring changes as they unfold. Sespe Creek is dedicated to providing continued access to cannabis for all and as such will remain open and delivering to customers.
We want all of our customers, vendors, and employees alike to know we place the health and well-being of our community as our highest priority. That is why we are following all guidelines and recommendations of the CDC and the Ventura County Department of Health as they pertain to this virus. Our on-duty retail staff is taking enhanced precautions to maintain a sanitary environment for our valued patrons and themselves. Our proactive approach includes:
- Hand sanitizing after each transaction and/or cash handling and the option to utilize gloves if needed
- Hourly handwashing requirements
- Routinely sanitizing shared surfaces such as the registers, countertops, door handles, and high volume areas
- All staff has been instructed that should they experience any symptoms of illness, they should not report to work, but rather seek medical attention as needed
We will continue to closely monitor the situation with the advice and guidance from local authorities and health experts. We will enact ongoing changes to the protocol as the situation unfolds. We also keep our community apprised of any policy changes.
For our patrons who may prefer to avoid public spaces, we suggest ordering online at sespe.org for fast in-store pick-up or home delivery. Please note, online orders do require enrolling in our Sespe Creek Collective Membership program. We respectfully request those with active symptoms to stay home and work with a friend or partner to make alternative arrangements. Regretfully, we are unable to deliver to those with active symptoms or who are on mandated quarantine.
