Sol Spirit Farm, situated in the heart of Northern California’s mountains, is a regenerative organic cannabis farm in Trinity County, CA. Founded by Walter Wood and Judi Nelson, this small family-owned and operated farm represents a haven for passionate environmentalists and advocates of self-sufficiency. Not only do they grow their own food and cannabis, but they also engage in permaculture, natural building, and community organization. Their deep connection to the sacred cannabis plant fuels their desire to help spread its healing and wisdom across the globe.

The farm is nestled in California’s legendary “Emerald Triangle,” a location blessed with a special microclimate that enables outdoor growth in full sun. Walter and Judi’s relationship with cannabis began during their time touring with the Grateful Dead. Their journey took them across the U.S. and other countries before they settled on the Humboldt/Trinity County line. Over the years, they faced harassment from authorities, but they now celebrate the changing times that allow adults in California and other states to grow and consume cannabis without fear of legal consequences. For them, it is a joy to welcome guests to their farm and demonstrate how responsible farming methods and daily choices can contribute to the regeneration of the land.
